There was a quote I saw recently that said something along the lines of the idea that if your satire becomes indistinguishable from that which you’re satirizing it ceases to be a joke and just becomes more fuel for your target.

Is this real? Did asmongold really say “thats why women need makeup”? Women need makeup because there is an entire insldustry dedicated to making them feel bad about their looks so they can sell makeup that makes women feel better. The makeup cause damage to their skin that can only be covered up by more makeup. It is instilled in them from a young age and perpetuated by older generations influencing younger generations.

Right, but worn by men and women alike. Makeup today is targeted at women and filled with harmful chemicals that close up the pores on your skin, cause greasy spotty skin that cracks with time and make makeup a necessity not a choice.
In fact in the victorian era it was widely regarded by both sexes to be Vulgar, primarily associated with sex workers.
It is a very recent thing that has pushed for marketing it at women specifically. Within Last 100 years or so. Especially post ww2.
