  • Thank you for getting back to me. 🌹 I truly believe that many people feel this way. Tragic things happen in life. Believe me, I speak from experience too. Sometimes we walk a certain path, and something terrible happens to us. We wonder, ‘Why did this happen?’ But we’ll never know what would have happened if we had chosen the other path. Perhaps something terrible had to occur to protect us from something even worse. I know this might sound like making excuses sometimes, but I genuinely believe this. And there have been small incidents where I felt this was confirmed.

The fact that you believe God would not love you is, to me, a sign that you still believe in Him😊 and that is something good. Whatever you have experienced in life, or whatever you are going through right now, I wish you strength and all the best. I hope that soon everything will turn around for the better. I will pray for you. I know this sounds clichéd, but I truly mean it. You can always reach out to me whenever you want. Peace be with you. 🕊️🌹

  • Peace be upon you. 🌹 As one of those religious people, I can simply say: “No.” 😁

We deeply religious people (whether Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Hindu, or others) simply believe that everything happens through God’s will. However, this does not mean that free will doesn’t exist. You will be rewarded solely for your hard work, Inshallah, because that is your own merit.

You should just keep in mind that the phrase “you should thank God for giving you so much strength” is actually a compliment. It means “God loves you”

Of course, it also depends on how the person expresses this words 😅, but it is something beautiful.

    Peace be upon you all🌹🌹🌹

  • Peace be upon you. To your question: Yes and no. I find it harmless, almost even creative, when beautiful music mixes are made, or when one of my favorite actors says something funny. But at the same time, it’s very dangerous. And by the way, this is a threat to all voice actors and dubbing professionals. I come from Germany, where dubbing is really important. In any case, it has pros and cons. It depends on who uses it. Actually I don’t blame the AI itself, but rather the people who misuse it.

Thanks for explaining! Honestly, I’m not familiar with political labels like ‘left’ or ‘liberal’. I actually had to look them up before replying 😅. So I’m not sure where I fit in.

For me, data privacy is just about being practical and ethical. I hate it when big corps like Google use my data for things I can’t control, like military projects. It makes me angry, when they turn a tiny mosquito into a weapon. I see that happening with AI too. I’m against that.

I don’t know if that makes me ‘left’ or 'liberal’😅. My goal on forums like Lemmy is simply to find like-minded people, who share this ethical approach and to make friends there😊. Thats it.

Wow… That is touching. My eyes are filling with tears right now. Thank you 🌹🌹.

I can understand how you feel. Therefore, your comment moved me deeply. I am truly glad to find people on Lemmy who think exactly like I do. That means a lot to me. Thanks again. And as the saying goes, hope is the last thing to die ☺️☺️☺️.

Thank you for your comment. I am still new here and inexperienced, so your feedback made me happy and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I appreciate you sharing yours with me.😊

I hope the automatic browser translation didn’t confuse you or misrepresent anything. My English isn’t great, so I relied on translation tools hoping you would understand my point.😅

What I was trying to say is basically this: We ‘ordinary people’ possess one of the most powerful weapons we have: boycott. And unlike a gun or other physical weapons, we don’t need to ‘buy’ this weapon. That was the core of my message. Thanks again.

  • First of all, huge respect. I never thought I’d meet someone who has done all this too. I completely share your views on Google and other corporations, they abuse their power and have long crossed ethical boundaries.

I definitely have a few alternatives to share with you. I use the Proton ecosystem, including their email services, their VPN and their AI, Lumo. I stopped using ChatGPT due to Microsoft’s involvement.

In uBlock Origin, under “My filters”, I’ve blocked some of the most important Google services:

    ||googleapis.com^$important ||gstatic.com^$important ||google-analytics.com^$important ||googletagmanager.com^$important ||www.google.com^$important ||youtube.com^$important ||ytimg.com^$important ||googlevideo.com^$important ||googlesyndication.com^$important ||doubleclick.net^$important ||googleadservices.com^$important ||googleads.g.doubleclick.net^$important ||pagead2.googlesyndication.com^$important ||fonts.gstatic.com^$important ||apis.google.com^$important

Some websites might look visually broken, but they remain usable

For YouTube, I use Invidious instances via the Tor Browser. This gives me much more anonymity.

Also, I’m planning to buy a Fairphone 6 with /e/OS (Murena). A system switch on my current Samsung A53 isn’t really possible, but the Fairphone seems built specifically for these kinds of open systems. I’m excited to see how it works.

    And again: Respect! 🙌
