This makes me so sad.
Artist, musical performer, and former derby skater from the Midwest.
I’m single, childless, and married to freedom and adventure.
ACAB, Anti-War, and I hate Democrats, Republicans, and billionaires. (Yes, even your favorite billionaire: the pop star, the philanthropost, the legendary athlete, or the soft-spoken investment guru who cosplays as middle class.) With each passing day I get a little closer to hating everyone.
Also, I refuse to use Donald’s last name out of hatred for the man and his brand, FYI.

This makes me so sad.
Dumbest question I’ve seen all day.

Sounds very Enron.
Enron hid much of its debt by calling it ‘preferred shares’ issued to creditors, just straight up lying.

My employer has Copilot, but the conversations about when and where we use it are always measured and we always weigh the time gained vs the time that would need to be spent validating the output. It is useful at times, like today, when I wanted to pull 200 footnotes out of a word document and into an excel sheet. I’m still going to have to check every line item, but validating will take less time than doing the work manually.
I also work in the legal industry, so just whipping things up via sloppification isn’t realistic since screwing up has massive implications for the firm and the client.

Honestly hoping that people who try to take jobs away from the vast plurality of entertainment workers for their own fucking greed fall flat on their face. We don’t want your AI slop, motherfuckers.

They’re really not useless, though at this point maybe a little half-baked, since they’re “ai-powered” and LLM’s are very much half-baked.
They could, for an example, improve things greatly for people who can’t see or hear; problem is they are so closely associated with creeps, and Meta is so incentivized to market to creepy people, that the positive possibilities for this kind of tech are an afterthought.

It’s a good start.

Not exactly the accountability we’d like to see, but some justice is better than no justice. I hope these corrupt aviation companies have to pay out the ass for collaborating with fascists.

That’s frustrating.

Abso-fucking-lutely.

I hate that these marauders, raiders, and murderers are euphemistically referred to as ‘settlers’.

My favorite feature of US foreign policy.
It evidently, clearly, and repeatedly hasn’t worked… so let’s keep doing it. (For decades, probably.)
And even better, that thinking is bipartisan because no we elect has enough integrity to admit they were wrong and change course, at least not since Lyndon Johnson. (And even he was a-okay to keep the bipartisan pain going on many aspects of American politics.)
That this inflicts pain on the American people doesn’t even register with our elected leaders. We’re irrelevant.

It is in a country that votes 99% every election for the same two warmongering parties.

Brawling is unnecessary, and makes you look like a little bitch in competitive sports.
They deserve the bans.

Yeah, sorry Spain.
Our doddering, demented, stupid president has no sense of tact, and I suppose we should be glad Kash Patel wasn’t in camera range either.
This reminds me of the #UnwantedIvanka memes from his first term, when they were trying to groom her to be his successor before they realized the whole fucking world hates her.

He’s gonna try, no doubt.
Already, he knows the November elections are lost, and for him personally, that means there’s nothing to lose. From his perspective, he might as well go balls to the wall before he loses Congress and it becomes marginally harder to grift and functionally impossible to rule by decree.
Iran is not going to hand him the victory he wants and nor are they going to bribe his family the way other nations have. He’s a spoiled, stupid child who thought he could order up a victory like a Big Mac, and in doing so, he fucked with the wrong country.

Of course this motherfucker thinks his WeWork approach will work again.
Just throw money at it and pretend that the evident flaws in the technology haven’t already been exposed for everyone to see.
Douche.
American ally-ship increasingly loses value as the Donald Administration progresses.
I wonder what the next president will do to try and win it back.
