My understanding, after talking to @geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml last time is that this space is more about taking pot shots to agitate liberals rather than following principles regarding sources or language.

My view is that posting a Mehdi Hasnake quote is no different than posting a BBC article if that makes any sense. Coincidentally Mehdi used to work for the BBC as well.
