The US has imposed new tariffs on 60 trading partners in the latest escalation in the trade war reignited by US President Donald Trump when he returned to office last year.
Those targeted, including the UK, China and the European Union, will face a tariff of 10% to 12.5% on all goods, accounting for almost all American imports.
The tariffs, which replace an identical levy which expires on Friday, are based on claims key economic partners have failed to properly tackle forced labour.
Such total and utter bollocks. The orange turd is desperate to distract from both the Epstein Files and the pointless Iran war.
Since when has the USA been concerned about people’s welfare (forced labour) when they have snatch squads on the streets; detention centres to hold kids; shooting civilians.
If the USA doesn’t want to trade then grow a pair of balls and just say it.
Trump making Putin happy again. Fucking loser.
USA is using prison labour (slavery). Their prison population is comprised out of millions of people.
It is just market manipulation. Conservatives have no values, ethics, nor morals.

What a weak sissy baby
“Today’s action will begin to correct what is both a human rights abuse and distortive trade practice to improve the welfare of workers everywhere,” US Trade Representative Jamieson Greer said.
Imagine saying with a straight face from the U.S. of all places that they think the UK and EU need to improve the welfare of their workers. I understand it is related to the forced labor goods coming from China but holy.
“Trading partners” is outdated nomenclature. Now its vassals/subservients and enemies.
My favorite feature of US foreign policy.
It evidently, clearly, and repeatedly hasn’t worked… so let’s keep doing it. (For decades, probably.)
And even better, that thinking is bipartisan because no we elect has enough integrity to admit they were wrong and change course, at least not since Lyndon Johnson. (And even he was a-okay to keep the bipartisan pain going on many aspects of American politics.)
That this inflicts pain on the American people doesn’t even register with our elected leaders. We’re irrelevant.
