That is because The Smoke cures the Two Great Ills: Life and Decay. And yet humans flee The Smoke, clinging to the emphemeral, cloying dream called “living.” Trotting blithely into the maw of entropy.

Dance instead with the Herald Flame.

    Take in The Smoke.

Because it is relaxing and makes you forget everything terrible in life. Imagine your wife divorcing you, taking away the kids, falling into depression and then getting caught. Cut the fish some slack.

I just got some lox on sale and the flesh is greasy and it has a strong smell of fish. Tastes fine, but I’ve never seen that before in smoked salmon. Is this normal? I’m not a big fish guy.

To be clear, I and two others have eaten this and haven’t suffered any ill effects.
