Iranian lawmaker says Ukraine a legitimate target over drone support

Eleven countries have requested Kyiv’s help in countering Shahed-type drones amid the Iran war and Tehran's ongoing attacks against the Gulf states, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said last week.

The head of Iran’s parliamentary committee on national security and foreign policy said that by providing drone support to Israel, Ukraine has “effectively become involved in the war.”

Zelenskyy earlier stated that Kyiv has already deployed interceptor drones and a team of specialists to help protect US military bases in Jordan.

    Iranian drones blowing-up Ukraina didn’t make Ukraina designate Iran as a legitimate war-target??

    Iran ought now be a legit Ukrainian target, if that’s Iran’s position.

    Ukraina’s selling defensive drones, not assault ones, from what I’ve been seeing.

    This is mere ideological-convenience/gaslighting, not accuracy-of-view.

      Ukraine joined the sanctions on Iran in 2007 for the civilian nuclear program . Sanctions indirectly kill people. Zelensky want to save isrsel and the usa who do not only want to end the ergime but also commit gaza line genocide

        Zelenskiy’s Jewish, & was pro-Israel, & was getting lots of donated military means from Israel, too…

        Ukraine had a big problem with Israel getting stolen-from-Ukraine grain, by the shipful.

        Things aren’t as simplistic as many say they are.

          To give you a historical parallel you may not like, Stepan Bandera thought that Hitler would be happy with him and give him a mini-Reich if he went ahead and started massacring Jews and Polish people for them. The selfish Nazis threw the Banderites in prison! The enemy of your enemy is not always your friend. It is common in imperialist countries to be sadistic/selfish even towards allies

          Hardline Ukrainians seem oblivious to having no true loyalty from their friends who understand sanctioning Russia is just too hard, but are happy to keep up the fiction of hurling money into Ukr military. Well, maybe the military doomers get it. They speak the same language unilaterally, regardless of nation.

          Israel isn’t the Great Satan, as the Iranians say. It’s nearly a peer and competing satrap along with Ukraine.
