Osmand is so good, Maps is a shittier alternative these days. I only use Osmand and occasiobaly “gmaps wv” wrapper for google maps from fdroid if I need traffic density.

I don’t install any app that has ads, to the extent that I even uninstalled Google Maps and became a pariah that has no Whatsapp. Most apps are from f-droid, I use OSMAND~ from f-droid, Firefox with ublock origin to browse and pipepipe as youtube client. I don’t think I’ve ever seen an ad on this phone and that’s how I like it.

I don’t choose Omarchy, I don’t need hyprland and don’t like how they embrace vibe coding, but it saddens me that people are so angry. I haven’t read any of his screeds or tweets and don’t give a fuck about any of it, but how is not discounting software on account of project lead’s racism same as… being in the same room with mass children murderers? And their sympathizers? These metaphors are not working.

You can disagree over dietary preferences not over “is hitler in my supply chain a problem?”.

I can disagree about whether DHH actually is Hitler. Also, I don’t have a supply chain, I use a Linux OS. I actually have no problems with said OS being made by nazis and/or racists, so long as the software is good. I wouldn’t click a EULA that demands I condone nazis or racism, but that’s a separate story; cancel culture has done nothing good but further divided people. That said, there are legit reasons not to use Omarchy, such as their idea of slopmachines vibefixing bugs directly from user reports.

What the fuck does that have to do with the Linux distro? Many everyday products you use are made by people you don’t agree with. It’s called society.
