It’s been a while since I was in school, but it annoyed me that for things like this teachers rewarded either parroting whatever they told us or just mindlessly copying content we found somewhere else (also quantity > quality, which sucked also because we had to write everything by hand). If AI could at least make them value actual thinking for a change, it’d be nice.

Given enough time, same water would carve the tiles around the drain.

There’s a joke in Bulgarian somewhat related to that. What’s commonly referred to as a prune plum we call something that roughly translates to “blue plum”. The joke goes something like this:

– Dad, what’s this?

– It’s a blue plum.

– Why is it red?

– Because it’s green.

Language is weird, but it’s ironic that our use of it makes it so.

Funny how they’re like “we all” about something that is probably 50/50 or not even that.

Many people can’t handle the existing alphabet, imagine for a second if they have to deal with extra letters.

Somewhat even more annoying with ankle length socks and non-tall shoes - works fine with many, but with some particular pairs the socks run down just enough to make it impossible to fix without untying the shoes.

My browser history (the local one) is for my eyes only… so clearing it would only mean I have to go again about finding a page that I might’ve forgotten to bookmark.

In this line of thoughts I wonder if Traditional English people spell it as Colourado.

Capitalisation is lost in spoken word. Blame capitalism?

In all seriousness, shortening “organically grown” to “organic” is quite stupid since all food is organic, but not all food is organically grown.

Sometimes I wonder what kinds of things we’re using today that we still haven’t found are toxic, carcinogenic or harmful in other ways…

I had some silly ones when I was younger, but I also made one that’s <first name>.<last name>@<service>.com which I’m using to this day. The only problem is that from time to time I get emails seemingly addressed to the fella using the same address, but without the dot between the names.

Maybe start with the fact that not all words in use in English are English words.
