    The point is that it’s not 1940 anymore and Jews are no longer oppressed. In fact they’re a very privileged minority nowadays.

    Or as James Baldwin said 70 years ago:

    One does not wish, in short, to be told by an American Jew that his suffering is as great as the American Negro’s suffering. It isn’t, and one knows that it isn’t from the very tone in which he assures you that it is.

    If Palestinians would hate Jews (using the term antisemitism here feels a bit out of place since Palestinians are the Semites) there wouldn’t somehow be a new Holocaust.

    It would just be comparable to white-people hate by Africans. Or Algerians hating French people. Or… Jews hating Germans.
