China is directly undermining imperialism by providing an alternative for the global south to turn to for development. Reading the works of Fanon and Nkrumah makes this fairly obvious, for a global south country to rapidly develop they need regional sovereignty and ideally a way out of their formerly colonial economies that isn’t just neocolonialism from the west. China presents a real alternative that does not underdevelop the global south, and gives them the opportunities they need to escape neocolonialism.
China trading with capitalist countries does not give them what they need to continue imperializing. In fact, China serving as the outlet for the west to de-industrialize has actually harmed western industrial capacity, resulting in decreased military power and a decline in hard and soft power. They are not propping up the west, they are leading it to their grave as the west cannot help but go towards due to the profit motive.
This isn’t about good will, this is a material process that happens when a socialist country is rising.
exactly, they give an alternative and the USA doenst like that as we saw in the HondurasGate case.
The west does de-industrialize and delocazation does affect its workers, but i dont see the west that much weakened.
At least i dont see it very well.
Obviously i know capitalism cant do anything but go towards its grave, but i dont see that much…effect from china other than it being discredited in stupid ways online.
Really idk what to say and sincerely dont care.
As long as China is here its alr, but china has been in the economy for a while, its growing good, but not extremely that you can notice change in a few years.
What i think really matters is organizing, because capitalism decay’s while going to the grave, and when its decaying that is a time to act.
Much of the consequences of the decay in imperialism come from the global south rising. African countries for example are developing, while the west is surging to the right and increasing in violent attacks. Organizing of course matters, China is just an example of what happens when you effectively organize.
